“Together with my children, I run the Parpinello Winery. I have been a winemaker for many years. I have always made wine and taken care of the grape vines. In the past I worked for other wineries in the region, but now I work for our family entreprise.”

I have genuinely dedicated my entire life to this work.

After spending years in the wine cellar making wine, I am now more of a vine cultivator, dedicating my time and attention to the vineyards and the grapes. I feel like I have realized my life’s dream: to create this organization of ours, with my family, and to have passed on to my children both my passion and my knowledge about this vocation.

After many years of experience in many important wine businesses in Sardinia, I decided, together with my father, to realize our dream.
Now, as the business manager of the company, I work with clients, sales, publicity, and commercial networks.

The Vineyars

Today, Poderi Parpinello has 35 hectares of grapevines in three different locations: 7 hectares on the coast of Castelsardo, 15 hectares near the Lake of Baratz/Alghero, and 13 hectares in Janna de Mare (located between Alghero and Sassari), where the wines are made. The different geographical areas provide a broad range of environments, enabling the winery to cultivate many local grape varieties (Vermentino, Cannonau, Monica, Cagnulari, and Torbato). In 2021, a new local grape (Semidano) was added, as well as international varieties (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon).

The Winery

The Poderi Parpinello winery represents the cutting edge of wine technology, a culmination of the perfect mix of innovation and tradition. Our wines are enriched with creativity and passion as well as the experience gained from 60 years of activity in Sardinia. The different geographical areas of the vineyards enable us to produce high quality wines characterized by freshness, sapidity, an optimal structure, and— naturally—the right mineral note. Our Cannonau, Vermentino, Monica, Cagnulari, Torbato and (since 2021) Semidano, as well as international varieties (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon), have been created to cater to an increasingly knowledgeable market.

The La Vinia Bed & Wine Experience is an elegant building surrounded by grapevines and ancient oak trees, just a short distance from the winery. It is graced with a spacious, welcoming café and a swimming pool. The rooms have been prepared with care to offer you the utmost in comfort. La Vinia is located in an ideal position, allowing you to easliy reach important tourist destinations as well as the coastal beaches of Alghero and Sassari.
